About Worcester Concert Brass
Worcester Concert Brass is a friendly, inclusive community brass band based in Worcester, Worcestershire. Founded in 1982 as the Nunnery Wood Youth Band, the band has grown from its youth-band beginnings into an enthusiastic group of musicians who share a love of making music and entertaining audiences.
Today, Worcester Concert Brass welcomes players of all ages and abilities. The band performs a wide and varied repertoire, including traditional brass band music, marches, light classics, music from films and television, songs from the stage, and popular favourites.
As a community band, we enjoy bringing live brass music to audiences across Worcester and the surrounding area. Our performances range from concerts and community events to outdoor performances, civic occasions and seasonal celebrations. We also regularly support local charities and community organisations through our performances and fundraising concerts.
At the heart of Worcester Concert Brass is a simple aim: to enjoy making music together, share that enjoyment with our audiences, and play an active part in the local community.
The band is always keen to welcome new members; so whether you’re an experienced player, returning to an instrument after a few years away, or would simply like to discover the world of brass band music, we’d love to hear from you.
